Chair Project

For this project, I designed a rocking chair using reclaimed and found materials. Inspired by the movement of waves, I aimed to create a fluid, organic form. To achieve this, I constructed the frame using wire and wool, as these materials allowed for smooth, flowing curves.

I began by experimenting with shapes using post-it notes, exploring different structural possibilities. I then developed these ideas further by creating watercolour studies of various wave forms, considering both practicality and visual appeal before finalising the design.
