DY5 Project

I wanted to look at the people of Brierly Hill as singular characters, how everyone is an individual but somehow, they come together as a community, even if it is two paths just crossing. I created a series of paintings, The compositions and use of brushwork make these paintings more interesting to look at. I explored Brierly Hill taking pictures of the different people, and then reduced down my favourite ones to draw out and then paint. Before I painted, I prepared the canvas by putting a ground down so that I could eliminate white space.
